Description

H.E. Harris folder holds Sacagawea Dollars from 2005-2008, along with history on the inside flap. This is a tri-fold folder that opens flat for all at once viewing with a total of 11 openings (1 opening for the reverse and 2 openings with P&D only no date), then closes to book size for easy storage. All H.E. Harris folders are made of acid-free materials for the protection and storage of your coins. The holes in this folder have a special LOCK-IN feature. But first, a word of caution: always hold a coin by the edge and never touch its obverse or reverse. We recommend you wear gloves when pressing your coins into place. Now that you are ready, simply place the coin with one edge tipped into the hole, and then press the high edge downward and toward the lowered edge (slantwise). Feel the snap? It’s locked in! The new dollar coin design, which bears the image of Sacagawea, was selected by Treasury Secretary Robert E. Rubin based on the recommendation of the Dollar Coin Design Advisory Committee. The dollar coin’s obverse was designed by Glenna Goodacre. It depicts Sacagawea, a young Shoshone woman. Sacagawea carries her infant son, Jean Baptiste, on her back. She carried and cared for him on her entire 3,000-mile portion of the expedition with Lewis and Clark from 1804 to 1806. The reverse was done by Thomas D. Rogers Sr. It presents a soaring American bald eagle encircled by 17 stars, symbolizing the states of the union at the time of the Lewis and Clark expedition in 1804.
